There are two pull out draws that can be completely removed from deals the box and several compartments to organize all of your jewelry. The mirror is cloudy but could be replaced. There are a few scratches as shown in the photos. The lock does come with the box however, the key photographed ended up not going with the box (my mother had told me after the photos were taken). Also no, the lock does not lock/ work since it is missing a piece.
