Product code: Deals 1900s sterling silver
A good looking and nice quality bracelet made by the JJ White Company for the Camp Fire Girls of America. It has arts and crafts style details- the surface has a hammered finish with incised and oxidized Medieval looking symbols which spell WOHELO, short for Work, Health, Love, the motto of the Campfire Girls. It is stamped H.L.P. on the inside. This bracelet does not have a sterling stamp but other examples do, and it has been tested to be sterling silver. These bracelets were made up until the 1970s. The cuff is 7/16" wide. The inside circumference is 8" which includes a 7/16" opening- a large bracelet for a girl! The silver is somewhat malleable so the size deals and opening can be adjusted. It weighs 18.7 grams and is in excellent condition.
