Up for sale is this really beautiful little mountainscape oil painting on board. The painting is small, but exquisitely-painted. It depicts a mountain rising amongst the clouds over a bright woodland copse in the foreground. It's a phenomenal little piece. The painting is signed but undated. The signature is very strange and difficult to make out, but I believe it reads "Milly Clarke." I could be wrong about the name, but that's my best guess. Regardless, the artist was quite talented. There is paper covering the backing that I did not want to disturb. It is possible there is more information on the painting or deals the artist underneath the paper backing. It comes framed in a simple, but handsome rustic wood frame that compliments it well. The painting is in excellent condition. No noticeable wear. The frame shows some minor scuffing and weathering, though that may just be original to the painting. Painting measures 7" wide x5" high. Frame measures 10" wide x 8" high.
