Product code: 1967 Limited Ed. 66/100 Japanese Woodblock deals Print by Toshijiro Inagaki
Overview: Up for sale is this very stylish woodblock print, "Flutist," by Toshijiro (Nenjiro) Inagaki. Inagaki was one of the forerunners of bringing modernist Western themes to traditional ukiyo-e Japanese printmaking. His prints always ooze 1960's cool and style and he's one of my personal favorites. This print depicts a performer playing the flute. This print is extra special as it was a limited edition run of 100 (this one is 66/100). It is also pencil-signed "Mikumo" (Inagaki's publisher) and dated 1967. There is also a title at bottom center. My online translator came up with "Fuefuki Douji" which translates as "Whistling at the Same Time." Print is unframed. Condition: The print is in very good condition. Some toning and some yellowing along the left edge. Please see photos. Measurements: Print measures 13.125 inches high x 11.375 deals inches wide.
