Raymond Peynet a French illustrator and designer was born in Paris in 1908. He became a popular household name in the 1950s and 60s when his pair of 'Lovers' shot to prominence internationally, especially in France. His art appeared in prints, cards, ceramics, tea-trays, key-rings, etc. Peynet designed for Rosenthal between 1955 and 1965 and his pieces are one of the most desired collectables. This antique vase is in excellent condition and appears to never have been deals used. No chips, cracks or crazing, no paint missing. 7" x 4.5" x 2" Please see all photos I have listed.
