What a great find! I was so excited to find this set of six Glidden Pottery plates featuring adorable mid century style animal motifs. Each illustration depicts a different creature; giraffe, hippo, bull, lion, rooster and horse (or donkey). These plates are on a smaller side, measuring about 5 1/2" across, perfect for appetizers or desserts. The background glaze looks like majolica style glaze and designs are fluid and beautifully stylized. The underside of these plates is left unglazed. All plates are in good but not excellent condition. There are no structural issues such as chips or cracks, but some surface wear/crazing is present deals.
