Solomon Finkelstein started manufacturing jewelry for retail in 1939; changed company name to Deja Costume Jewelry. On Jan. 17, 1941, they announced a name change to “REJA”. Pre-1950 used sterling for Reja pieces. Went bankrupt in 1952. This brooch measures 3 inches long by 1 1/2 inches wide. Heavy well made brooch with pave set stones. Goldwash shows wear but doesnt effect the beauty of the piece. A couple of stones have darkened. These pieces are becoming harder deals to find. Marked Reja Sterling.
