Nassau Ober Selters stoneware jugs were produced in the Nassau District in western Germany. They contained natural mineral water sourced from wells in the Taunus Mountains, in the area of Selters, Hesse. Salt-glazed, hand thrown stoneware pottery. Under the handle of each bottle is stamped the first initial of the jug maker's location and their individual number. Dated to mid 1800s. This bottle is a rust brown with deals brand stamp and is more than slightly crooked as many Selter bottles are. Approximately 9 in tall x 3 in diameter. Great vintage condition with no chips or cracks.
