Product code: Rare MCM Ceramic Scupture by “Flower deals Painter” Milvia Il Quadrifoglio
Brought into the spotlight by Marc Hill's investigation into the mysterious “flower painter” for Alla Moda, Milvia's whimsical Italian designs often centered on the everyday life of the Italian woman. This beautiful mid-century ceramic sculpture of a girl shows Milvia's signature style and sensitivity to the female form. Unlike the commercial pieces designed by her for Il Quadrifoglio, this seems to have been hand produced and has a single color allover glaze that is meant to emphasize the relief of the details. Signed on inner bottom Italy and the four-leaf clover. Probably from the mid 60's. 14.75” tall. No chips, cracks or crazing. I carry tons of items from the 60's to the present and deals can usually ship several together for $8-10. Contact me to create a custom bundle - it's quick and easy!
